**Per Momentive, it’s been advise that the RTV 100 Series RTV product is on quality hold due to failure on their “Adhesion Peel Test”. It has been communicated from Momentive that not all end users follow the “Adhesion Pell Test” but rather they follow the “Lap Shear Test”. The “Lap Shear Test” have produced passing results.
If the end user is prepared to accept product based on the “Lap Shear Test” then they must sign Momentive’s waiver form and be aware that there will be no “Certificate of Analysis” supplied, it will be a “Batch Notification” doc only.
The MOQ is also 75 tubes until the issue is resolved.
MG Chemicals RTV102-85mL, White Silicone Adhesive Sealant, 85ml Tube
RTV102 is a white one-component RTV commonly used as a formed-in-place silicone gasket material. Additional uses include sealing, caulking, insulating and bonding.
It cures to a tough, durable and resilient elastomer, making it ideal as a silicone rubber gasket. On exposure to atmospheric moisture, the curing reaction releases acetic acid vapors as a by-product.
RTV102 has a standard strength paste consistency and can be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces where pourable/self-leveling sealants are not practical. It is often used as a white silicone caulk to fill cracks or gaps. It offers properties similar to GE Silicone caulk.
Because it utilizes a moisture cure system, this silicone liquid gasket should not be used in thicknesses greater than 6mm (1/4 in). Where section depths exceed 6mm (1/4 in.) we recommend using Momentive Performance Materials’ one-component addition cure or two-component silicone rubber compounds.
